He is not so difficult to get in contact with as some of the other Firstforged, though there is a possibility that he will outright ignore any requests that he is not interested in. I had some of my acolytes bring me the ones felled in the Haven. I suspect they were much stronger closer into the source, however, and looking at the differences will give us a clue to the nature of the badlands.

There was definitely more of them.
[She motions her claw to the device that's disassembled and spread out on the table around her. There's even a canister of the acid near by.]
Most of the corpses were too large to haul back, so I brought this, a sample of their acid and took a good look around their.. hive or colony. Whatever you want to call it.
[She goes on to point out and explain what she's learned in detail though, there seems to be a few area's she hasn't fully understand yet, or at least doesn't appear too.]
Otherwise, there was one central centipede that created the others and controlled them. Once it was killed, the others just scattered and acted on their own.
